A Paper Lover’s Stop in Barcelona
Raima 1986, the largest stationery shop in Europe, is the kind of place that stirs the soul—a six-story celebration of paper, artistry, and timeless beauty, where every corner feels designed to awaken creativity, and that it did! Tucked inside a historic building in the Gothic Quarter, each floor of this incredible stationery shop invites you upward into a thoughtfully curated collection of journals, fine papers, art supplies, and meaningful objects that make everyday rituals feel special. My son fell in love with the DIY Book Nook kits, and chose the Garden House, which he has since made for me. It sits proudly on my favorite bookshelf. I chose a Traveler’s Notebook DIY kit, which I’m excited to personalize and collect my travel memories in.
PS — just when I thought this stationery shop couldn’t possibly get any better, we found a rooftop bar and creative gathering space called NIMURA on the 6th floor. It’s part bar, part terrace, part art space—designed for drinks, music, workshops, and exhibitions—a hidden creative rooftop tucked above one of Barcelona’s most inspiring shops.
Address: Carrer Comtal, 27, Ciutat Vella 08002 Barcelona
